According to a recent Better Business Bureau study by Nielsen, nearly 83% of U.S. consumers are more likely to make a purchase from a business that displays the BBB accreditation seal. The BBB is a resource for the public, providing trustworthy, unbiased information about businesses.

Truth in advertising has always been valued at the core of what makes a business great. Before 1880, no restraints on advertisers existed except as personal ethics. When advertising, media responsibility in the public interest was not something businesses were overly concerned with. In 1880, however, an article was published in the Farm Journal declaring
